MODULE The Art of Panoramics and Painted Murals
Overview:
Knowing how to render a perspective drawing and elevation is crucial for painting a mural. This is why the first week of this module focuses on an in-depth study on how to create a realistic spatial representation of architectural elements in a mural using perspective drawings and elevations. You will also learn about the different planes, and how to compose a mural. At the end of the first week, Michel will take you on a brief ‘virtual tour’ through works of famous artists. You will discover how they used perspective, harmony, and measurement that made their paintings timeless masterpieces.
After studying the composition, various formats, and colors, Michel will guide you through the step-by-step process of rendering a mural. You’ll learn techniques for painting skies, clouds, landscapes, trees, foliage, drapery, and figures/portraits. You will be working on a mural designed specifically for this class. On week 4, Michel will walk you through the process of painting a realistic seascape from start to finish.
Whether you choose the mural painting course or opt for both mural and seascape, the primary objective of this course is to provide you with the necessary skills required to work on each project.
Join us for this exciting program where Michel will guide you through the entire process of painting a mural, from start to finish! Not only will you gain confidence as a muralist, but you will also learn the valuable skills that will enhance your mural painting projects as you learn how to manage your time more efficiently. Our students are amazed by the amount of things they can accomplish and the knowledge they gain during this module.

"It is especially in this course that I like to speak to my students about harmony, the measurement, the composition, and the old masters’ teachings. I also like to speak about a particularly amazing period that for me is still a source of inspiration today - the Renaissance….a period in our history during which our thinking and our tools were dedicated to the Arts; musicians, poets, architects, sculptors and of course painters, left us with a huge and indispensable legacy that is still important for us today."
