Fusion Mineral Paint - Finishes

Fusion Mineral Paint is formulated with a built-in top coat, the 100% acrylic resin.  That's why you do not need to use a top coat for water permanency.  Top coat becomes optional if you wish to create a certain look (more glossy etc) or wish to increase the durability of the surface. 

► If you wish to obtain a certain finish by distressing once the paint has dried, it's recommended to apply a top coat afterwards because you will break open the surface and a top coat will be necessary to prevent water damage and continues distressing through extensive wear and tear.

► Fusion Mineral Paint is extremely easy to work with, though the manufacturer recommends distressing soon after the paint has dried.  Fusion is very durable, so achieving the same result is a bit more work after the paint has cured.
