We are delighted to organise this fantastic workshop with Italian master decorative painting artist Stefano Luca who will be teaching how to paint an Italian decor, with ornaments using his very unique techniques.
During this 5-days workshop, Stefano will share his know-how and techniques that he acquired not only through his professional training but also during years of working on prestigious commissioned works all over Europe and internationally. Thanks to this invaluable experience, Stefano was able to develop his own techniques and characteristic style in the Italian decorative tradition.

Painting a beautiful Italian Decor on canvas using a unique technique!
Focus will be on discovering and learning the Italian approach to painting ornaments using an acrylic medium and pigment powder. This technique, also know as the Italian touch, will focus on creating a decor with ornaments in relief using a very specific technique. You will be working on a beautiful panel on canvas, with the design created by Stefano Luca. At the end of the ten-day class, you will take back home a gorgeous and elegant panel to add to your portfolio.

Content of the course
The following techniques will be covered in class*:
- learn how to prepare the support (polyester canvas)
- learn how to prepare the paint (medium + acrylic paint)
- learn how to transfer the design on the support
- learn how to create the relief using the elements of light and shadow
- learn the techniques of painting moldings, ornaments and other elements using the ‘Italian touch’.
- learn how to add the finishing touches (highlights) on specific places

Who can apply
This course is open to all persons who wish to learn the techniques of painting an Italian decor with ornaments and moldings.

Tuition: for those paying through personal funds: 1100 euros (our courses are exempt of French 20% VAT).
for persons applying for scholarship: 1200 euros (our courses are exempt of French 20% VAT).
All basic course materials included except for brushes and sundry items.

- Surface to paint on (polyester canvas)
- cofee, tea and biscuits during breaks
